The Vibram Five Finger Shoes Review
I bought the shoe last month and been walking with it ever since.
My thoughts about it :
1. It is a head turner. People notice the weirdness of the shoe. Most common comment is that they look like gloves.
2. After walking with it for 2 hours, I can feel all the bones of my feet. Its not a painful feeling but a worked out feeling (sore). However the next day my feet felt fine!
3. Super comfortable, i can wear it the whole day till night. Wearing the shoe is like wearing protected and firm slippers.
4. After a month the shoe can get sticky so be ready to use double strength Dr. Scholes shoe deodorant.. it works!!!
Fall is almost here.. I’m not sure if i can use it during cold weather, I hope i can!

8 Reminders for Leaders
Psalm 101 NLT
A psalm of David.
1 I will sing of your love and justice, Lord. I will praise you with songs.
- Worship and serve the LORD
2 I will be careful to live a blameless life—when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home.
-Integrity everywhere!, be careful to live a life above reproach
NKJV- 2 I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh, when will You come to me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

3 I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly;I will have nothing to do with them.
-protect your eyes and hate what is evil
4 I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil.
5 I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride.
NKJV- 5 Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, Him I will destroy; The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart, Him I will not endure.
“Slanders” A false tale or report maliciously uttered. and tending to injure the reputation of another by lessening him in the esteem of his fellow citizens, by exposing min to impeachment and punishment, or by impairing his means of lining; defamation. Slander, that worst of poisons, ever finds an easy entrance to ignoble minds.
“Ignoble” Of low birth or family; not noble; not illustrious.
6 I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.
Choose your friends wisely!

7 I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence.
“Decievers” Syn. -- Deceiver, Impostor. A deceiver operates by stealth and in private upon individuals; an impostor practices his arts on the community at large. The one succeeds by artful falsehoods, the other by bold assumption. The faithless friend and the fickle lover are deceivers; the false prophet and the pretended prince are impostors.

Jesus Calms the Storm Mark 4:35-41
35 As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” 36 So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). 37 But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.
38 Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”
39 When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. 40 Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid (dread)? Do you still have no faith?”
41 The disciples were absolutely terrified (afraid). “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!”
In this passage:
1.Jesus was the one who initiated the boat travel.. meaning He knew that there’s a storm
2.Most of the disciples were fishermen so they knew that it was really a bad storm!
3.Jesus was sleeping and awaken by terrified and dreading disciples!
4.Jesus rebuked the storm and asked “do u still have no faith?” (prior to this scene Jesus has healed many, preached, and taught but the disciples never seen Him being Lord over creation.. they were afraid, terrified to witness that!
Mark 5:1-18
Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Man
1 So they arrived at the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gerasenes.[a] 2 When Jesus climbed out of the boat, a man possessed by an evil[b] spirit came out from a cemetery to meet him. 3 This man lived among the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain. 4 Whenever he was put into chains and shackles—as he often was—he snapped the chains from his wrists and smashed the shackles. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Day and night he wandered among the burial caves and in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones.
6 When Jesus was still some distance away, the man saw him, ran to meet him, and bowed low before him. 7 With a shriek, he screamed, “Why are you interfering with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In the name of God, I beg you, don’t torture me!” 8 For Jesus had already said to the spirit, “Come out of the man, you evil spirit.”
9 Then Jesus demanded, “What is your name?”
And he replied, “My name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man.” 10 Then the evil spirits begged him again and again not to send them to some distant place.
11 There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside nearby. 12 “Send us into those pigs,” the spirits begged. “Let us enter them.”
13 So Jesus gave them permission. The evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd of 2,000 pigs plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water.
14 The herdsmen fled to the nearby town and the surrounding countryside, spreading the news as they ran. People rushed out to see what had happened. 15 A crowd soon gathered around Jesus, and they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons. He was sitting there fully clothed and perfectly sane, and they were all afraid(fear). 16 Then those who had seen what happened told the others about the demon-possessed man and the pigs. 17 And the crowd began pleading with Jesus to go away and leave them alone.
18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. 19 But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” 20 So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns[c] of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them.
In this passage:
1.Demons were terrified at Jesus and obeyed Him
2.The man who had the demons became sane
3.The people were afraid when they saw the man who was possessed healed
4.Jesus denied the request of the man healed to join Him and commanded him to go and share to 10 cities and everyone was not afraid but amazed at what he told them.

Repentance
Repentance means to change one's mind, thought, purpose, views regarding a matter; it is to have another mind about a thing...
God grants the "gift of repentance" as each individual responds to the gospel through faith in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus for all sin. "So then faith come by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17).
The gift of repentance is given before anything else. One cannot show true change in his life before he himself has a profound regret for his past and a promise of fulfilled hope in God's grace
The Parable of the Two Sons
Matthew 21: 28"What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work today in the vineyard.'
29" 'I will not,' he answered, but later he changed his mind and went. (repented)
30"Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, 'I will, sir,' but he did not go. (hypocrisy)
31"Which of the two did what his father wanted?"
"The first," they answered.
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.

My first 5 points to remember ... when playing in a band
1. Play in Tune.. for guitar, bass, horn section, string section and even keyboards, please make sure that your instruments are in tune and on the same key. I highly recommend that everyone get their own tuner and make it a habit to tune your intruments before the performance. Vocalist listen and make sure that you are also in tune when u sing. Korg CA-40 Large Display Auto Chromatic Tuner
2. Play in sync and on time.. during your personal time, every band member should practice with a metronome. This develops internal time and everyone can eventually play in a groove. **Note: DRUMMERS are the time keepers if they cannot keep time they should not play the drums. I suggest that the drummer use a metronome during band practice.
DW Drum Workshop Complete Deadhead Pad Set with Bass Drum, Cymbal, and Head Pads
*a tight and in tune band sounds great than a complicated out of tune/out of sync band.
3. Listen to each other.. rhythm section listen to the drummer and keep stage sound down just enough to hear everyone.. drummer needs to keep his volume down to be able to hear the bass and vocals. If you cannot hear each other that means someone is playing too loud! Parker Fly Signature Series - Adrian Belew - Electric Guitar (Tangerine)
4. Use the mic and hold it close to your mouth. Vocalist must hold the mic on its handle and avoid covering the head (this will cause unwanted feedback) the vocalist should also be able to listen to their voice through the monitors. Shure SM58LC Cardioid Dynamic Microphone
5. Come to practice PREPARED and know your parts!
The next 5 points will be for next week :)I hope this helps to bring your band to the next level.

Thoughts these season.. who am i and spiritual success
1. Are we so concerned with what others think that we miss being who God created us to be?A good question posted by Rob Bell's nooma productions this is just the preview of his topic and i want to watch the rest.. but it does stir allot of memories when i was a kid in search of who i am..
2.Oswald Chamber's warning against spiritual success..
"In Luke 10:20 , Jesus told the disciples not to rejoice in successful service, and yet this seems to be the one thing in which most of us do rejoice. We have a commercialized view— we count how many souls have been saved and sanctified, we thank God, and then we think everything is all right. Yet our work only begins where God’s grace has laid the foundation. Our work is not to save souls, but to disciple them. Salvation and sanctification are the work of God’s sovereign grace, and our work as His disciples is to disciple others’ lives until they are totally yielded to God. One life totally devoted to God is of more value to Him than one hundred lives which have been simply awakened by His Spirit."
These 2 points are related in a way if we don't know who we are in God's eyes we will try to get our identity in our success..

Aimee Mann..
Aimee Mann's songs seems to help me go through an important stage in my life :) great to see her perform live...
Wise Up!
It's not
What you thought
When you first began it
You got
What you want
Now you can hardly stand it though,
By now you know
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
You're sure
There's a cure
And you have finally found it
You think
One drink
Will shrink you 'til you're underground
And living down
But it's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
Prepare a list of what you need
Before you sign away the deed
'Cause it's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
No, it's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
No, it's not going to stop
So just...give up
Save me!
You look like a perfect fit
For a girl in need of a tourniquet
But can you save me
Come on and save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
'Cause I can tell
You know what it's like
The long farewell of the hunger strike
But can you save me
Come on and save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
You struck me dumb like radium
Like Peter Pan or Superman
You will come to save me
C'mon and save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
'Cept the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
But the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone
C'mon and save me
Why don't you save me
If you could save me
From the ranks of the freaks
Who suspect they could never love anyone

A Life of Faith.. New start..
I was praying a few minutes ago asking God for faith and encouragement... there are major changes in my life right now.. and i was pleading for eyes to see and ears to hear from The Father.
My prayer was I asked God to let His will be done here in earth as it in heaven.. to give me courage to face the new, help me through the storm of uncertainties and to believe in Him and not my circumstances. After pleading for faith.. Oswald Chamber's revelation (as usual) spoke to me..
"Living a life of faith means never knowing where you are being led. But it does mean loving and knowing the One who is leading. It is literally a life of faith, not of understanding and reason—a life of knowing Him who calls us to go. Faith is rooted in the knowledge of a Person, and one of the biggest traps we fall into is the belief that if we have faith, God will surely lead us to success in the world." I have plans yet a surrendered plan to God is a better plan than crying out to God for my plans to be blessed! HIs will be done here on earth.. and HIs will is to change my character.. to trust HIm alone!
Hay a life in Christ is never boring, always something new.. good or bad He promised He will never leave me or forsake me!
God bless everyone!

God's plan
A good friend of mine sent me this message to encourage me..
GOD'S PLAN
Some things are beyond planning.
And life doesn't always turn out as planned.
You don't plan for a broken heart.
You don't plan for a failed business venture.
You don't plan for an adulterous husband
or a wife who wants you out of her life.
You don't plan for an autistic child.
You don't plan for spinsterhood (being single)
You don't plan for a lump in your breast.
You plan to be young forever.
You plan to climb the corporate ladder.
You plan to be rich and powerful.
You plan to be acclaimed and successful.
You plan to conquer the universe.
You plan to fall in love - and be loved forever.
You don't plan to be sad.
You don't plan to be hurt.
You don't plan to be broke.
You don't plan to be betrayed.
You don't plan to be alone in this world.
You plan to be happy. You don't plan to be shattered.
Sometimes if you work hard enough, you can get what you want.
But MOST times, what you want and what you get are two different things.
We, mortals, plan. But so does God in the heavens.
Sometimes, it is difficult to understand God's plans especially when His plans are not in consonance with ours.
Often, when God sends us crisis, we turn to Him in anger.
True, we cannot choose the cross that God wishes us to carry,
but we can carry that cross with courage knowing that God will never abandon us nor send something we cannot cope with.
Sometimes, God breaks our spirit to save our soul.
Sometimes, He breaks our heart to make us whole.
Sometimes, God allows pain so we can be stronger.
Sometimes, God sends us failure so we can be humble.
Sometimes, God allows illness so we can take better care of ourselves.
Sometimes, God takes everything away from us so we can learn the value of everything He gave us.
Make plans, but understand that we live in God's way.
The full control of your and my life is HIS.
