Desperate prayer for meaning

my need for meaning in my life...

I desperately long for God to look at me and say, “Your life touched people, and pointed them in my direction. Thanks for music, lyrics and concerts that did this.”.. May we become people who allow the aroma of Jesus to leap off us in our engagement of the people He died to redeem.

villans like us

In the media industry , esp. as an artist manager I've become a villain to a few people. I dont know maybe allot :)

I stumbled into reading this article and this kinda encouraged me..

Happiness is letting someone make you the villain.

  • When I was making my record, I hired a bassist. But listening back to his tracks afterwards, I decided to play bass myself instead. I’m glad I did, and love the results. But I hear he still hates me, 13 years later.
  • A writer in LA loved CD Baby, and kept insisting I hire him as a consultant, clearly wanting the association. After his many requests and my many refusals, he threatened to tell everyone CD Baby was a scam unless I hired him. I didn’t pay, so he’s been slamming me publicly for years now.
  • Some ex-girlfriends and ex-colleagues hate me. Some people I’ve never met write pages on their blog about how much they hate me.

Funny thing is : I’m happy to be the villain they need.

Some people can only feel right by making someone else wrong.

I know I’m doing good helpful work. I’m so filled with love that nothing gets me down. So I guess if anyone should be the villain, it should be me!

It doesn’t bother me, and noticing it doesn’t bother me reminds me how happy I really am.

So, bring it on, anyone. Project your frustrations on to me. I’m happy to be that for whoever needs it.

well, I'm not really happy when i get to be a villian but I can turn the other cheek and walk away.

Happy New Year

There are many doom and gloom predictions for 2009 and can make most people lose hope. Seeing the future with the eyes of circumstance based on past and present events can make us all believe that they are true..

Allow me to share interconnected stories in the Bible that encouraged me to see 2009 with the eyes of faith, faith in God through Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The first story is of Abraham, when he was commanded by God to leave Ur and go to Canaan... he left with great provision.

Gen 12:1The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. 2 I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. 3 I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.”as this great narrative continues, Abraham obeyed and God indeed blessed him.

The next is the story of Issac when there was a great famine in the land..

Genesis 26 1 A severe famine now struck the land, as had happened before in Abraham’s time. So Isaac moved to Gerar, where Abimelech, king of the Philistines, lived. 2 The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt, but do as I tell you. 3 Live here as a foreigner in this land, and I will be with you and bless you. I hereby confirm that I will give all these lands to you and your descendants,[a] just as I solemnly promised Abraham, your father. 4 I will cause your descendants to become as numerous as the stars of the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed. 5 I will do this because Abraham listened to me and obeyed all my requirements, commands, decrees, and instructions.” 6 So Isaac stayed in Gerar. In the rest of the story, we read that God blessed Isaac who became prosperous in the midst of famine..

The third story is that of Jacob when he was fleeing from Laban..

Genesis 31 1 But Jacob soon learned that Laban’s sons were grumbling about him. “Jacob has robbed our father of everything!” they said. “He has gained all his wealth at our father’s expense.” 2 And Jacob began to notice a change in Laban’s attitude toward him. 3 Then the Lord said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your father and grandfather and to your relatives there, and I will be with you.”... Jacob obeyed and his life was very colorful but God was faithful to His word and accomplished it according to His promise.

My thoughts about thiese narratives:
1. We need to hear from God ... the common thread in these narratives is "God said..."
2. Don’t assume God's plan.. having a good plan does not mean it is what "God said." Many fall by twisting God's arm and asking Him to do what we want, or ask Him to bless what we will do even if He did not ask us to do this. Many delude themselves into thinking that they are doing God’s will when all they did is praying before doing their own will regardless of what God’s thoughts or feelings are about the matter.

I encourage everyone to face this year with the truth of God’s Word.

The bibles says, there will be suffering, not just for 2009, but in the years to come.. a promise with a BUT
Romans 5:3-5
3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Trials develop CHARACTER.

Romans 15:1313 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Trials builds HOPE in GOD ALMIGHTY

I want to end this with this Psalm 27
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

going through a faith test

I'm going through a Faith test!

This word is encouraging me as i go through the test...

Rise above fear, flesh, and earthly things so that you can hear My voice, says the Lord. There are many things that compete for your attention. Yet, I do not compete, but stand quietly by waiting for you to come and seek My face so that you can get the wisdom and direction that you need. Focusing your view on things not spiritual will only lead to confusion. But, discernment by My Spirit will lead to good judgment and righteous direction.

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

Beloved, you have been laboring under an undefined sense of oppression for some time and have not been able to overcome. But, now you will be able to begin to see the light dawn where darkness has prevailed. You have turned the proverbial corner where hope will replace gloom and despair. Hold on to these first rays of spiritual light, and resist the devil's attempts to pull you back into the realm of hopelessness, says the Lord.
1 Peter 1:13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ

Be prepared to give an answer

I got this from Hank Hanagraaf's blog.. it spoke to me.. it will speak to some :)

A common mistake that Christians make is to suppose that someone, by your apologetic or by your well-reasoned answer, be talked into the Kingdom of God. The motivation might be sincere but the consequences are often devastating. No matter how eloquent you may or may not be, you can't change anyone else's heart. Only the Holy Spirit can do that. Thus, while it's your responsibility to always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have, it is ultimately God who changes the heart.

The problem is not that people cannot believe - it's that they will not believe. In other words, it is often not a matter of the mind. It is a matter of the will. As Jesus Christ explained, "This is the verdict. Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates light and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed." This is Jesus talking.

The Christian faith is reasonable, but as Jesus Christ made clear, reason alone will not compel a person to embrace our Lord. I'm utterly convinced that if we're prepared to give an answer God will bring into our paths those whose hearts He has prepared. So it's our responsibility to prepare ourselves to be the most effective tools in the hands of almighty God. That's what we're doing - preparing. We're getting ready to give an answer. Then pray that the Holy Spirit will use our answer as the means through which He transforms a life for time and for eternity.

We often, in our thrill-oriented society. We're looking for the next experience. You want a real experience as a Christian? Try learning how to give a defense of the faith and then see God use your well-reasoned answer as a springboard or an opportunity to communicate the Gospel and see a son or daughter of Adam come into the Kingdom. Let me tell you, there is no more wonderful experience than that. You will be exhilarated. What you thought was a duty will become a delight.

All too often the Christian church has missed the experience because they're looking for experience in all the wrong places. They go to Pensacola or to Toronto or now to Lakeland, Florida, and I hear about barking in the Spirit or laughing in the Spirit or the gold dust revival. God is etching crosses on gold teeth today. And people buy into it and wait in line for it and they get all jazzed up and all worked up, and a week later they are more depressed than ever before because they bought into something that over-promised and under-performed.

But if you get back to basics and get into the Word of God and get the Word of God into you - now that takes some work, but there is a reward. There's a real payoff. It will enhance your witnessing, your prayer life, your counseling, your relationship with mother and father, with husband and wife, with siblings and with friends.

Try it sometime. Try becoming an equipped Christian. Your life will be revolutionized, a foretaste of what will happen when you cross the veil into eternity and meet the person that God brought into your path, and you were able to share the Gospel or provide it for ministries like this that did so, and realize that you had a part in that process, and then hear Jesus say this to you: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
